POLAR = flathead.
Surely I'm not the first person to figure this out?

I thought about that, but there seems to be a different twist to the post.

DriveBy=Polar, or Flathead. One of the two.

I don't know what your first observation was, but your second is wrong. There's a way you can prove to yourself that you're wrong without opening another thread; it will be interesting to see if you can figure it out.

If they are causing too many problems, isn't there a way to ban the users from the board??? I personally don't come here much anymore because I'm tired of the mudslinging, name calling and everything else that is going on. I think something needs to be done to restore the board to the purpose that it was intended for.

In a word yes. Bruce can delete your account, but all you have to do is open another. So to save work he doesn't do it. It has been this way for about 6-7 years now, coincidentally about the same time lakeman found the forum.

Oh, I know another message board I'm on they use your ISP or whatever that number is to block you from opening another account. They recently had to ban someone and they used that number.

Thanks!

Is there any way we could have another board for a differnt purpose? We could have a board for stupid junk, and another board for people who want to talk about things related to lake martin.

Good idea. Can the forum manager please add an "Off Topic" forum? It is very common on other boards. Anyone posting mudslinging, football, jokes, etc in the General, Fishing, Boat Maintenance, or Scuba Diving forums will have their posts deleted, thereby minimizing the space wasted on the attention seekers.

All this can be done away with if the folks who participate just go into the live chat room. They can be jerks face to face for a while, in real time, and then go to bed.

Who knows, without that stewing time between the time they post and the time they get a reaction, they may all fall in love and make the world a better place.

Not all IP's adresses are static. All dial-up connections are dynamic, meaning they change every time you log on. Most cable IP's are static, but most also run through a router, which can attain new IP's if you know how.
