for another year. My family and friends spent last week in the Windmere area. We have been to LM twice before and stayed in Bay Pines and Blue Creek. We really liked this area of the lake; centrally located, and lots of great places to enjoy water sports. We were very happy, for the locals, to see the most rain LM has had in 3 years take place during our vacation; that coupled with my boat engine breaking down on our 2nd day seems like the ingredients to ruin a vacation. Kevin, at Kowaliga Marine took great care of us and made every attempt possible to put us back on the water, even if it was in a rental boat. :-( The rental worked well and we enjoyed all that LM has to offer, rain or shine. We are also avid cyclists and the rolling hills around the Windy Wood Rd made for great morning rides, even though the Ridge guard would not let us thru. I posted earlier asking about a slalom course and a few people gave me some suggestions; I'm happy to report, we found a course in Hogs Pen which worked very well. Thanks again for the advice and allowing us to enjoy your paradise, even if is only for 1 week out of the year.
