We saw an eagle on the water's edge at Windover last Sat. Jan 16.
It was eating a fish, rose up with it and dropped it. Some crows came in a little while later to finish the fish and it came from out of no where to "buzz" them. Amazing sight. Looked like a relatively young one - probably female because of coloring. has anyone else seen them in the area.

We saw an eagle New Year's Day in the Parker Creek area. It swooped down to grab something on the shoreline and then circled for a while. Gorgeous creatures!

Eagle lovers, type "virginia botanical gardens eagle cam" into your browser and click on a link. There you'll see live video of an active nest. Last year, I watched as this pair built the nest, laid eggs, raised the young and then the fledging of the young. It is amazing to see an eagle bring a live fish into a nest and watch how the pair work together. Even has night vision but nothing really to see.

Sometimes the live camera doesn't work.
