Could the slow, inept, and lack of urgency in the response of the Obama administration to the oil spill in the gulf be pay back for the 2008 election results? I have often heard politicians say behind closed doors, “Who should I take care of the most –my supporters or my opponents supporters.”
Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida all heavily supported McCain. In fact, all but three gulf coast counties in Florida supported McCain.
I am not saying the response is intentional, but were the election results in the back of the minds of staffers or even the President? What do you think?

I don't think so. Nice try for the McCain supporters here, but no cigar.

They are inept, but I don't think they would have enough intestinal fortitude to be that vindictive. After all, they live to run again.
