“US officials reportedly confirmed chemical weapons were used in Syria after intercepting calls from a Syrian defense official who was demanding an explanation from a chemical weapons unit official about last week's strike.” [FoxNews.com, 28AUG13]

Uh… aren’t we trying to stop NSA from listening to conversations about chemical weapons.

Saddam trucked this poison gas into Syria. That is why the inspectors didn't find any after he had gassed some 10,000 Kurds.
Both sides are not our friends. Why should we stop our enemies from killing each other? And God forbid those loons in Washington putting boots on the ground in the Mid East. That would be madness!

The goons in Washington should be (re)directing our warships and other military assets to stand back from meddling in this conflict.

In the light of our war fighting (plans?) I have witnessed since 1962, we will ultimately kill more of our enemies by letting them fight it out among themselves.  I'm, personally, in favor of maximum kinetic energy.  Taking out all of their communications and power would do much to isolate them to their own land.  It's hard to fight a war without communications, electric power, or petroleum.  I don't think the U.S. has the backbone to do that nor the stomach for such inhumane actions.  However, it would be the most effective means of quelling their hostile actions.  Then we could let the Russians and the Chinese be the great nation builders.

My thoughts exactly. No threats. No negotiation. No embassies or consulates. No ultimatums. No bribes of foreign aid ($$$).

Only the morning sun rising on shattered bridges and silent power plants (no electricity). No boasting. No nation building. No offers to sponsor democracy… just, locusts chirping in the deafening silence.

A culture awakening to find that they are appropriately relegated to the stone-age.
