Anyone have any experience with this stuff?  Going to attempt to repair some pontoon seats by wrapping the tops of them with new vinyl and using HH-66 to glue the old vinyl to the new.  I'll take all the seams of the new vinyl to the piping on the sides so they are not very noticable.  I am going to take before and after pictures for those that might be interested. Idea looks good on paper but you know how those turn out sometimes.  Seat tops are in bad shape and this may be a low cost solution to get through 3 to 5 more seasons before I may attempt a total redo (carpet/seats/sides) of the pontoon.

I did that once on an old pontoon. It worked but it didn't look at all custom. But as you said it bought a little time.

I've never used it but we redid our seats about 5-6 years ago.  We took the old vinyl off and stapled the new vinyl on to the underside just like the old vinyl was done.  We had to sew the corners of the seats with clear thread and a needle.  Looks fine and has lasted til last summer.  We replaced the seat backs vinyl and foam 2 summers ago.  Those have held up well, again, sewing them and stapling to the frame.

Good luck!  Curious to see your results.  Our seat bottoms need replacing again.  Shortly after we redid them we ended up expecting a baby and some things got neglected.

Boat is a 1997. Got 18 years out of the original seats.  Started cracking last year on the tops of the seats where the boat cover rests on.  It's worth a try. It's minimal money and just time. Thanks for the input.

Also found these seats online.  Veada.com. Buying a set of new seats seams cheaper than getting the old seats recovered based on the prices I have been quoted. From my research this is the manufacturer for Bennington pontoon seats. Anyone know if this is correct?

I looked them up and based on what I read, if I were looking for new seats I would use them. Check the comments on the site below. One negative on length of time for order but all others are positive. The Company even responded to the complaint. Go for it and enjoy your pontoon. Patching the seats will look just like you patched them. Be proud and replace them.

Currently, I am renovating an old 1997 pontoon that was in pretty bad disrepair. I used Veada , and can not recommend them highly enough. Great customer service, and wonderful craftsmanship. You can also customize your seat colors to your preference. Their lead time is normally three to four weeks, but they keep you apprised of the percent complete as they manufacture them.

Which line did you get?  The Regatta looks like top of the line.  The cost for those seats is pretty much the same as recovering the old ones.

Flagship... The seats are the same quality. It is just the patterns that are different.

I would request vinyl samples as the on screen colors are deceiving. They also have more choices in vinyl colors than shown. They will send them to you quick, and normally include the additional colors.

If/when I do a restoration I was deciding between the Flagship or the Regatta.  The only thing I like better with the Regatta is you can get an integrated arm rest which provides a cleaner look but you do pay more for that.  A plus too, is the cup holder placement on the Regatta will shade your beer and keep it cooler longer, LOL!  I pretty much have decided tha Veada is clearly the best seat manufacturer.  Their seats look more custom and the quality appears to be there.  Most reviews are very posititive.
