I've been told that Pepsi is releasing a new "patriotic" can design that has the pledge on it. The problem I have with it is that it's missing two words. "Under God" will not be on the can because Pepsi feels that it may offend. How did we get to this point? Sure does make me lean more towards Diet Coke!

If this is true, then I agree with you Sir/Mam. Although for a drink I prefer Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke. I like the idea of showing our patriotism and feel that it needs more exposure but not for commercial purposes. Just like the rules of flying our National Colors forbid the Flag's use for display as a commercial propaganda. We have a regional car dealership in Northern Virginia that flys the biggest American Flag you have ever seen. I would not buy a car from there just because of that blatant act.

Part of the above was my own rant, but I appreciate your disturbance with deleting certain wording and thoughts that are felt important to a majority of us.

Yes, I might just start drinking a different soft drink or as we say in the South "coke".

This is one of those internet perpetuated rumors. Take a look at
WWW.snopes.com, do a search under "Pepsi Can". Second item down
addresses this as a false belief.

This is a great site to checkout all of those forwarded e-mails which make outrageous claims. Every now and then there is one which is actually true, but usually not.
