But you should read this article. It is absolutely BIZZARE that this can still be going on today. Oh thats right, the democrats wont let us profile airline passengers. We strip search blue hair grandmothers, but let the ones that seek to kill us waltz right on in.
I am not kidding, this is a MUST read. I know a lot of you do not agree with my politics, but this is life and death, not petty politics.

I wish the muzzies had hit the statue of liberty instead of the WTC on 9-11. Then we wouldn't have to let every immigrant in that can breathe...
You know, we did a lot of profiling after 12-7 (put them in concentration camps) and we didn't have any sabotage probems at all....hmmmmmm

I agree with you on this one CEO (at least with part of your post).
I took a trip a few weeks ago and as we were all going through the process of taking off our shoes, etc. an elderly couple in their late 70's or early 80's were pulled out of line to be further searched. The lady had trouble bending over so her husband was trying to help her with her shoes. They both looked confused and completely exhausted by the whole process. Not only a collossal waste of time, but very unfair to this nice couple.
However CEO, you blame this on the democrats, as usual, but I haven't heard President Bush calling for an end to this type of thing and a reinstatement of profiling. I agree the liberals are the ones who shout about how awful profiling is, but the Republicans don't have the balls to stand up and fight the good fight.
Once again you are trying to have it both ways. You want to bash the Dems without admitting that your beloved Repubs are just as bad.
As always, it's just my humble opinin

There has been no profiling to 'reinstate', but I agree the republicans are to blame for not growing a set and INSISTING on profiling. But if they suggested it, the liberals ( and their media cohorts ) would have them all strung up before sunset.
Ever heard how Isreal handles air travellers? If not you should check it out. They do it the right way. They realize that their FIRST priority is to protect citizens. You don't want to be profiled, take a bus!!

Shoot, I have flown 6 times since 9/11 and have been pulled out of line 4 of the 6 times. So I, a caucasion male, am quite the victim of profiling, for some reason. I really don't know what the fuss is all about. I was polite to them, they were polite to me and the whole process was short and painless. Not much of a price to pay to keep my a$$ from getting blown up.

Maybe you mis-read my post. I am very concerned about the article. My point was that I don't understand all the fuss about profiling. I have no problem with them pulling me out of line and searching me. Small price to pay for keeping my body parts assembled to my torso.

Yea Lamont, thats just the point. Arab/middle eastern males are the ones that have perputrated all the attacks on the US, but our great TSA hassles everyone BUT them. I mean if one of them got singled out for search, the ACLU would file suit and win millions for them ot use to blow our a$$ up.
In case anyone doesn't know, in Isreal ARMED officers wander up and down the lines talking to passengers. They use several HIGHLY effective techniques. One is to ask several questions about you and your trip in rapid fire i.e.; where did you stay? how long where you there? what was your room number? what restraunts did you eat at? I think you get the point. I saw a documentary on the subject. They will stand back and stare you in the eye, anything to make you nervous, and they TRUELY TRAINED to spot deception. It was amazing to watch. I wish we did more of it.
And I'm with you, Z71Girl, it is scary.
