Does anyone happen to know who owns the large white antebellum home next to the church in Dadeville? I love that house! I'm actually looking to build here in Bham and would love to see the layout of that house....bc I know I want the outside to look exactly the same.

Call the people at Lake Martin Living. I believe they had a story on the house sometime in the past year.

AuburnGirl - sometimes the simplest approach is the best.

I'd try just writing them a brief letter praising their home and asking if they're open to a visit at their convenience, include your address, phone number (note collect is o.k.) and e-mail so they can contact you however they like. No response and I'd let it go - showing up on their doorstep after that would seem sort of stalkerish....

Just drove by there today - address is 218 S. Tallassee St., USPS.com should be able to pull the zip.

I'd bet with as much work as they have put into that restoration in the past 5+ years, they'll be more pleased to show it than you are to see it.
