Hey question for ya. What level does the water need to get to in order to boat safely again? 488? 449? I'm getting really anxious and don't plan on waiting till Memorial Day with all the drunk crazies. Will it be up enough in April? THink the water will be warm enough or still freezing?

Yes to all but one.....might need to steer carefully at 449.......I know it was a typo but couldn't resist..............

At 449' I could get my 25th Anniversary watch back, too.

I plan on dropping one in as soon as it hits the bottom of the boat house. . . about 2 more feet (mid march?).

I believe the water will still be cold which can be to your advantage for the following reasons:

A. Makes it more romantic when you build a fire in the middle of your boat to keep warm. (just kidding)
B. Keeps your brewski's cold without taking an ice chest along.
C. You can get pulled behind the boat on Ice Skates instead of ski's.
D. Boats run more efficiently in cold weather, thus saving fuel dollars.

My first season I put my boat in on April 1....put the 4 kids in the boat and took off....after about 20 minutes, I looked back and the kids were shivering and turning blue......fun but cold.
