for your actions. All of the pro-big/loud/fast boaters need to review the past 3 or 4 days of postings. Not a one of you has suggested that you may have brought this legislation upon yourselves by the irresponsible actions of all of you as a group. Why would the legislation have been introduced to start with? How could you have prevented it?

I am still amazed at how smart OSMA believes they/he/she are and stands on his/her mountain top to look down opon the unwashed masses who have not had the opportunity to be enlightened by his/her wisdom, and your desire for "us" to grow up and says " let them eat cake". Jimmy Swaggert 1994 (you like that one david)......the legislation was brought because due to the impending sale of a marina to the Vinings Group from Atlanta, Ga that handles house boats of a large size and a small group around the the marina contacted the lobbist for Alabama Power who enlisted the help of their cronie Gerald Dial (who will not return phone calls to objectors) to sponsor a senate bill without any prior debate to find the best solution for all concerned....ie the lake & boating community in the state. As a result you have deemed youself and group as the majority and have taken to the "highground" to flogg the rest of us from your mountain top and brand us as unfit and the lowest of the low minorty, the 1% if I recall. You may get your way but you will rue the day,

The plot indeed thickens. I had been told by said marina that houseboats would never be seen on LM because of Alabama highway regs that prohibited their transport. Any truth to this?

no as it seems we have not , dials objective was to get house boats off his lake so he could sell more property in working with the resorts to line his pockets and others . we dont usually bother anybody we hang out within our group i don't like pontoons or fords so I will not drive either . everyone else can drive what they want to but respect my choices and i will do the same for you.
