sorry for the incomplete post.

I posed a question this morning in my post and many following posts were made, but no one on the anti-law guys attempted to answer. Why do the developers, APCo, lawmakers, whoever, feel there is a need for a law? A new law is not being proposed without a reason. What is the reason?

Don't come up with tired old crap like everyone's gonna get rich off this but you, etc. They're going to get rich anyway. Why would they go to the trouble to get a law passed if there was no need for a law? What prompted them to think they need such a law?

Give us a good thought out reason for their effort.......

Obviously you have an answer! What is it? Maybe they don't want a houseboat sitting in there front yard? Maybe they think all waves come from big boats? They don't like the noise? They want there kids to have more room to plow around in wake board boats? I don't have the correct answer.

A VERY interesting question. Other than Sen Dial's statement that he wanted to support the developers on Lake Wedowee, nobody has ever stated why we need a new law at all.

It seems that most of the wake, speed, big houseboat, sewage, and noise issues could effectively be controlled by tighter enforcement of existing laws.

It isn't necessary. It's preemptive. Don't wait until it breaks. Fix it before it breaks. Waiting until something breaks before fixing it can be much more costly, extremely inconvenient, and potentially disastrous (injury or death in this case).
