It's very obvious that you have a leadership roll in the anti-law group. It's about time for us all to move on. The law will happen, we will all survive, and it's time to make amends. Lake Martin is open to all lovers of the area--there will be a few changes, but all will adjust. WE DO NOT NEED THE BS THAT HAS BEEN ON THIS FORUM OR ON YOUR MESSAGE BOARD.
None of us have any interest in burning down Anchor Bay Marina, or shooting 'longtimer' (might want to talk with your lawyer about your website liability there) or sinking his boat. Let's stop the whining, bitching, threatening, etc. and get on with spring and summer.

I believe you live some distance form here. Have you been to Lake Martin lately, or is it a wonderful memory? As the lake area has grown it has changed (and not for the better). Bama Park, where all my children learned to ski, now is lined with trailers every 25 feet along what used to be the beach. I'm sure the new owners are happy, but it sure ruins my memories...and maybe yours. Blue Creek looks like a hillside in Atlanta with all the new developments and condos. The Chimney Rock area is now developed with houses hanging off the cliffs, a new el-cheapo' subdivision around the corner.
The advent of all of this has brought too much of everything including some boaters that have created an atmosphere that is not what Lake Martin should be. Freedom ain't free, and unfortunately some have to suffer for the good of all, so new boating laws had to be passed to try to make the lake better for everyone.
Say what you will, in your special way, but the facts are above.

the leader of anything!!!! I think he has handled himself very well!!!People on this FORUM (pro and con) have voiced opinions , in the heat of the moment, that they felt they needed to say. Right or wrong!!!!! People simple handle emotions differently. Both sides are QUILTY of being harsh at times. As far as HIS forum goes, if you do not like what you read, don't go there. And for heaven sakes, don't copy and paste it to a FORUM that people all over the United States can read!!!!!!!! I know what the reasoning was for the copy and paste thing and the person who did it knows too. To stir the pudding!!!!!! Just like the IMPOSTER, that used Lakefun's alias did to stir the pudding. You know the one. He said something like, they got their @sskicked/or got shot in the head. I am not going to waste my time to quote. Skin me up if want to. I really don't care, because I have said everything I want to say on this issue. If you do, that will prove my point even more.!!!!!!!!!!!!

I someone is guilty-- or "quilty"-- of copying something to a forum that "people all over the US can read," then isn't the person who made the original post also guilty (or "quilty")? Or does Cat have some sort of special filter on his site that keeps people from "all over the US" from being able to read it?
Also, the original post I was referring to-- the one that said I needed to be shot, or something along those lines-- was not the same as the one that was posted here by the fake lakefun. It was posted on the "other" forum. Not here. There. Ask Cat; if's he's as honest as forthright as I think, he'll tell you the same thing.

That post was indeed made. It was made after I had gone to bed that night, and PROMPTLY removed the next morning because I saw it as unfit. He was able to see it because at the time, I was getting up at 6:00am to delete post that I saw unfit, and with the hours some keep, they are able to view things before they get removed. I have gotten emails from both sides of the debate of the big/fast boat issue and ask to remove post. And I can honestly say that I honored all those request also. Longtimer, I am sorry that post got there.

I referred to your leadership role because it's obvious that you know many of the forum posters and they respect you. I feel you have the respect of others and the ability to quiet things down.
As a response to Jim's special little comment, I don't know anyone on this forum and have no influence with anyone one way or the other.
