Is there anyone around the dadeville area that rents construction waste bins ? I need a 20 yard one for about a week to clean out a Lake House. Called Sunflower Waste but they were very expensive $125 to deliver plus $175 to haul away, $3 a day and $32 per ton. Got one in Atlanta for $295 flat fee for 21 days ? Got to be someone cheaper around dadeville.

If you got the money to have a place on Martin, should have no problem paying for that service, unless you are living beyond your means. Must have a Champane diet on a Beer budget.

Hey Jim, Maybe they are like me and got there by trying to be smart with their money. Not all of us on Lake Marting are rich. We do try to enjoy the most we can with as little as we have. Best Regards, Your Bud. Just remember Special Forces Team 145.

I just do not (at my age) look at lake proptery as a investment. I can probley rent a place, for say 1 Grand a week 4 times a year, no taxes, no yard to cut, pack my crap up and leave, never know I was there. The people that are really going to feel the esculation of prices are the folk`s that have been there for years that are on a fixed income, They have no choice but to sell, can`t pay the taxes, health ins, what have you. As long as these foolish people pay the high prices for property ,people out ther will take their money. I said before and will say it again, my Daddy said a fool and his money will soon part ways.

Hey JIM, You are dead wrong on this issue. You can put your money in the bank and or a CD and watch it slowly grow. Almost like watching grass grow but much slower. You can take your money and invest it in something that will appreciate and at the same time let you play with it and enjoy life. It is a no brainer. Money gives you no pleasure. Only what you can do with it and enjoy with it. Lake property allows you to make money and enoy it at the same time. How can it get any better? You made a decent deal on a piece of property on Lake Martin right now, and come back and tell me in 5 years you made a mistake. I don't think so.

I'm as cheap as the come. Tight as bark on tree. Learned to ski on the lake 40 years ago. You don't have to be rich to live on the lake. Still driving a 1953 Ford F150, a red effie. Any advice on a cheap place to get a bin instead of all this chatter...

This might be a long shot but call Spencer's Lumber. The reason being is that they have numerous contractors in their store daily. Ask them to see who the contractors use for their waste disposal. Their number is 256-825-4256. They were very helpful with recommendations for other construction related chores this past winter when we remodeled. Good luck with your project.

Effie I know what the tight money is from , its that old truck. I've never even heard of a Effie , is that a real name or a nick name? It takes to much to keep them oldies going , yesterday was a starter for my old Jeep.

Effie....not sure you're going to find a cheap construction bin around here... tried that during my lake place building and finally resorted to paying the builders son to use his flat bed to haul debris off to the Alex City dump. We also compared prices to that of the metro Atl area and it was hard to get a sense of their pricing schedule.

Also, 'bout that old truck..... proud of your taste in old things....my pet is a '63 British sports car that needs constant care ( like Scarab Man says) but ain't it fun to raise the hood and at least understand something about how it works as opposed to these new things now?!

Thanks for the advice. Yes, Effie is what they called the original Ford F-100 truck. It's fun to have an old truck but a little work now and then. I may just go ahead and haul this stuff to the dump myself. The truck does have a few updates. Got a 1967 Ponatic 400 under the hood with a Edlebrock carb and cam. Just a few monifications to keep it going. thanks again Effie

Just a little more info. If you haul your own (which I did) you have to pay before you dump at the AC city hall. I paid $9.00 for a trailer load--got a guy with a dump truck to haul the bulk of the stuff--he took it to the same dump.

..Peoples Sanitation out of Chldersburg. I have never used them butr once they bourtght the big 20yd dumps a few rears ago I started to see them all over the place. They may the same price as all the others, but it is worth a call. The city still takes care of household waste in C'burg so these guys saw a need and filled it. They also do septic tanks, FYI.

The number is 256-378-6886.

Good luck. I would be curious to know how their pricing is. I know the People's caln down that way. :<)
