What is the process for having an existing boat on the lake identified and permited as "grandfathered" prior to the onset of the boat ban ?

Thank you in advance for the information.

Jag,
No, I am not the Marine Police and I am not for sure how this deal works but I believe this grandfathered situation works as.........Boats that are currently stored in a Marinas' s slip(not sure if wet and dry) or in a Marina/ Dealers current inventory, it is grandfathered. I understand it as no boat can be grandfatered in unless it is keep at a Marina.

How does that address boat owners that are also property owners ?

Large property - large boat ??

I am asking for someone else - my boat is under the ban limit.
Thanks

As far as I know that "process" has not yet been determined. I don't have the law in front of me but I believe our department was to have 6 months to come up with a method of grandfathering. As soon as we know we'll get that information out to the public.

We are planning a family vacation in Lake Martin this July. I have an 18 foot open bow runabout which we are planning to use on the lake. Does this boat ban include me? Do I need any special permits to launch and run on Lake Martin?
