You've reached the "high water mark" for the year. Without rain, it's all downhill or "lower water levels" from here.
Harris Dam begins generating today (June 28) will lose 6 inches by Saturday. Then 1 foot per week and will be at winter pool by first week in August. Check http://www.alabamapower.com and click Drought icon on the lower left corner of site for more info.
Unless substantial rain comes, it is the trend with the extreme drought and central Alabama is one of the worst areas in the country. It is getting serious enough in some areas to impose water restrictions and trying to have enough water to drink, cook and clean and basically survive.
