.... for all of you guys to leave!! Like Chevy said, if one drought year has you thinking of leaving, then you don't belong here anyway.

Of course APCO will be upset because I assume once you leave then you won't be on here telling them how to manage THEIR lake. It has become quite obvious that Bob, Osms, Bamaonthelake, and a few others know more about the situation than APCO, FERC, and the Corps of Engineers, not to mention all the computer simulations they run each day.

And of course Dadeville will be glad too cuz they will be able to go back to sending all of the raw sewage straight into the lake causing EVERYBODY who gets near it to DIE of Ecoli.

Oh how I long for the good ole days, of the water going up and down without the help of Bob. I wonder how we got along for 80 years without his infinite wisdom to guide us on our journey to full pool. <sarcasm off>

You should thank Bob. The way I understand it, the lake didn't even exist until he discovered it.

Simple nail up some concrete reinforcement wire around your dock while the water is low. The bass fishermen will loose a fortune in lures next year.

Did she wind it before she lost it, or did it have a fresh battery?

Maybe I will find the rod and reel that my brother left on the pier, provided the fish that pulled it in didn't take it too far away.

May as well take it down to 390... at least then we could get all the anchors from the Rock and flood (no pun intended) EBay. Small fortune in aluminum there too...

All I have to say is if any of you find the 50 pairs of Sunglasses that PP has dropped over the years, please do not return them to him... instead I would love to have them that way when he whines about needing new glasses I can just supply him with his old ones... one pair at a time...

If anyone finds a nice prop for a Johnson outboard motor across from Stillwaters, I would love to have it back. Mechanic did not put the carter key back in. Went in reverse, nothing moved. Towed back to Stillwaters. Been down there about 25 years. Still miss that old prop. Motor and boat long burried in a landfield.

Get a job - the people you want gone are the only ones with any money that support your pitiful little town.

#1, I have a job thank you. #2, it is not even my 'pitiful little town'. It's kinda ironic that Dadeville got along fine for 100 years or so before all you Johnny come latelys showed up with all of your money to save a town that was not in any danger. But once again I am sure all the locals that read this board are going to be very happy to read how some of you guys feel about them/us. Then you wonder why you get attitudes on the rare occasion that you might wander into 'our pitiful little town'. Or why local contractors treat you like cr@p. You guys come on here on brag about all your money, and all you 'do' for the pitiful little town, but let a contractor give you a price for work and you start 'poor mouthing' and talk about how all they want to do is rip you off. How many times have I heard 'these guys think everybody on the lake is filthy rich'. Well it seems to me that you sure like to give that impression, but let somebody else try to make a living and they are gouging the lake dwellers.

It has been my experience in life that those that brag about how much money they have, usually have none.

If this town is so pittifull then why do people keep moving here?...lol

To bring culture, sophistication, and desperately needed dollars to our blighted, slovenly, third world existence. They have to save us from ourselves. We didn't know you shouldn't pollute the water and APCO is supposed to know how to beat mother nature by keeping the lake full, no matter what the rainfall may do. If not the highly intelligent, elite, rich folks won't come around on weekends to instruct everyone on how to better serve them and their recreational needs.

One more oil change an hour and maybe you can share in the life of the rich and famous.

If the 'life of the rich and famous' includes looking down on others, judging folks for where they live, what they live in, of do for a living I will just continue with my nice middle class lifestyle. I do find it funny that even as dumb and lazy and pitiful as you think I am, I still LIVE where you only get to VACATION!!
