I went to Alex City public boat ramp Sunday to see how much longer I could put my boat in and it is only 4 ft. deep at the end of the ramp. It has a 10 to 12 inch drop off at the end of the ramp. I saw 1 trailer get hung because they backed in to far. It will be hard to put a long trailer in below 480.

Pineywood as I heard when the ramp was originally installed at winter pool, years ago, they also built a 14 foot extension and pushed it out and tied it back into the winter level ramp.

Do not know if this is true or not, but if it is true this ramp should be good for a long while as the terrain/boat ramp is STEEP, so should be very deep.

Will be trying it out on Labor Day Weekend now that Alex City is almost unusable.

Understand Wind Creek has a ramp that's usable at winter pool levels, it's in your neighborhood.

Sure would be a good year for APCo to extend the concrete at all their ramps--be a nice friendly gesture, I think.

I want to extend my concrete too and it's just my luck that we are holding at 480......if we get to 475, I'm calling in the truck!
