Last night there was an accident in the Sandy Creek area. One boat which was
sitting in the lake with no lights on was struck by a boat running with its lights
on. A person was ejected from one of the boats and another struck her head
on something in the boat, but fortunately their were only minor injuries. The
marine police was called and their response was that they would call back
at noon today. Should the group that tickets us for minor infractions be
expected to respond to the scene of an accident? Should a breathalyzer(sp)
test be given? What co you think?

One would think the Marine Police should/would respond to any accident as would State Troopers to an automobile accident. But I will admit I know nothing of the rules that govern Marine Police. I am glad no one was hurt, but how ridiculious for some one to sit on a body of water at night with no lights on.

accident occurred in the big water east of Ridge Rd. All people are OK.
Fortunately only bruises. Not so lucky for the boats. One will be in for
hull repair. The collision was a glancing blow or there would have been
serious injury or worse.
