I have an interest in a "Sea Doo Sport Boat", twin engine SMALL jet boat. Engines are "Rotax" 170hp.

Anyone with experiences with this type or style of boat? (Negative and positive).

I want to use this to run the rivers, use at the lake on calm days, and teach my children to ski...

Hey PP. We service a few of those for customers. Seems like they would be fun. If you decide to take up fishing instead, we traded in a nice bass boat. Come by this weekend if you get a chance. Daytona 500 is Sunday.

I have a little of both.

Mine is a Sea Ray Searayder and it's a blast. Or it was before I toasted a piston. Been looking for a motor for 18 months now. Mine is a single engine and uses a 90 hp Mercruiser power head. The boat handles great, is a little rough riding on choppy water but smooth it's a dream. It handles like a Sea Doo but you're riding in a boat. You'll love it!

The one twin engine one that I ran many years ago was also a blast. The problem was it wouldn't manuver (docking) on one engine. I had heard there was a lawsuit where a layers kid lost or badly damaged a leg because the kid was sitting on the pier with legs in the water when the boat was docking. The dock side engine stopped or coughed or whatever and the boat crushed the kids leg.

If anybody has a mid 1990's vintage, 90HP Mercury outboard. I need one. Not worried about the foot. Just need the powerhead.

Peace,
<><
