Dodd from CT is not going to run for reelection which is not surprising. You can't regulate the industry and get favorable rates from Countrywide and then say wow I didn't know they were special. Doesn't matter the party, to me you play the silly gane of using your position and get caught then you pay the price. Too bad, they become bigger than life in their own mind.

Retirement is the sentence for most white collar crime, unfortunately. We could solve the deficit if we prosecuted and fined.

I think Dodd read the tea leaves and saw he had no chance to win so he called it quits. Gives the Dems a fighting chance to hold onto the seat. There are going to be tons of Dems that abandon ship just like Republicans when the headwinds were blowing strong (considering I just spent 5 hours fighting headwinds from Florida this seemed like a good analogy).
