In a stunning new development of the anti-gambling fight in Alabama, Bob Riley's "gambling" task force carried out a 4:00 am raid on Taylorville Family Entertainment Center in Selma, Alabama. Much to their surprise the Center was not open, so they had to wait until later. (Task force spokesman suggested the Center had probably closed to avoid the raid. I guess they did not check the website for opening dates and times).
The task force, with numerous state patrol trainees from the nearby training facility, returned at 1pm WITHOUT a search warrant. They carried out the raid anyway. When asked by a reporter "Why did you carry out the raid without a warrant?" the spokesman replied "We had an undercover agent inside the facilty who confirmed that illegal wagering was going on" Reporter asked, "What?" Spokesman replied, "The agent knew it was illegal when he observed the Q-zar Laser Tag operation and overheard one kid say to another 'Bet you can't hit me, nani nani poo poo'"
