A guy name “Rude” on the Lake Martin forum
Thought he could win acclaim by writing a poem
His alias alone should win him some clout
But with words of wit he let out a shout

He responded well to the Christmas-time rhyme
But only got honorable mention that time
To himself he made a solemn vow
A Bigfoot award, some day, somehow

Then soon after a feisty Mexican lunch
He offered some lyrics about the whole darn bunch
There was Heather, Steve, Greg and the Larry’s three
Martinis were flowing, chips and salsa were free

No doubt the drinks helped Rude tell the whole story
Everyone could tell he was seeking the glory
As the excitement of those words lost their flair
He wrote a short ditty about small engine repair

He claimed that the Cat could offer a thrill
When you are ready to give your garden a till
Who knows what the rude poet will think of next
Or what Bigfoot fuss will be made of his text

One thing for sure that the “Rude” should know
He must bring his best for this rhythm show
An awakening awaits for the poet named Rude
He has a long way to go before he is the dude!
