It could be that I picked up a nasty rumor................but could it be that Cathouse-comes-to-the east-side-of-the-lake is planning a dog and burger cookout some time soon?!

I think that is a good idea. If we can get a large enough group together, I will have a cookout at Cathouse location on the lake. A Band?? D.J.??? That would be way BIG fun. We could do it on the showroom! But, lets do it soon. Maybe AU vs. ALA party???? Or, a Lake Martin Christmas party???? New years Eve Party??? Yall decide what to do, when and how, and I got it. This could be interesting.

Please give us weekenders enough advanced notice so we can make sure we can be there. Maybe we could have a small BBQ cook-off contest. Just throwin' things out there.

Thats a great idea. That way, we would not have to hire a catering company.

I think all the great cooks that show off their Green Eggs should should step to the plate.

And the rest of us will step up  "with a plate"

I don't have a high dollar BGE, but I do have a smoker. If those that want to "Step Up With A Plate" will cover the cost of the meat, then I'm "all in" for the big show at the Cathouse.

So, Maddog, your saying you will bring the grill if the rest of us provide the Meat? If that is so, all that is left is setting the date. You will cook the BBQ on location??? And, the rest of us bring sides???? I wonder how many folks we would gather? Someone please make a suggestion. This is exciting. Weather is no big deal as we have the showroom. Maddog, does this make you the "Cathouse Dinner Planning Chairman"? I will provide entertainment. Speak sir Maddog. ;O CAT... "just across the 49 Bridge at the Cathouse". Just sayin.

I'm all in with the grills if someone buys the meat. I have a smoker at the lake and if need be, I can bring my other smoker over from Lawrenceville, GA. How many people do you think we will need to feed? I'll doing the smokin' right there on the Cathouse spot.I don't know about the dinner plannin' chairman, but it sounds like I might just become the official Cathouse Smoker. My Nov travel scheulde is a little crazy right now, but if you'll pick a date and give me some advanced warnin', I think I can make it work. If you want to, we can do a low country shrimp boil for those that don't like smoked meat.

Guess I could make some Cam-Kabobs if there is a grill on site. I will bring the stuff to make them.

If y'all do it around Christmas, my wife and I might be able to come.  We like to leave the snow of Colorado at Christmas and be at the most beautiful place in the world......Lake Martin of course!

Sounds like GREAT fun!  We would love to attend and would bring sides.  Also being Wannabe FT PT's, we would need to put it on our calendar.

What about week between Christmas and New Year's - how about a New Year's Eve Throwdown HoeDown Cookout?
