Can anyone please explain to me WHY , ARE THEY LOWERING THE LAKE LEVEL IN AUGUST WITH ALL THIS RAIN. Makes no sence At all. We are over two feet low and it's still summertime.

I know and the rule on the calendar always shows 490 full pool. Go figure. Draw it down at the of September, we still have great weather to swim.

Because it is hot & people are running their AC units all day long.  It could be worse!

We are ahead of '06 and '08 and way ahead of '07 for this date....a little behind '09 and'10 (but not much) and those years didn't have the very dry spring and early summer we experienced this year. All and all, we're about normal. If we get some really good drenching rains it will hold (or go up) and if not it will go down. I'm always happy if we still have 486 or more by Labor Day, and that will probably happen this summer.....still plenty of water to enjoy! I'm looking forward to a higher winter rule in a few years, but I doubt it will have much effect on what we see every summer. My bet is 488+/- a few inches will continue to be the norm for early August.

As long as I can still see the bumpers floating from the house, I am happy.

Docks, bumpers
Logs and beavers,
Just push the buttons
And pull the levers.

I have no idea what that means...doc says I can have 2 beers a day...still got one to go (cheap drunk!)

Wow, BigFoot, your "99 bottles of beer on the wall"  is a short song.

But now I do like your cheap drunk poem.  Please explain buttons and levers.

The second line is a carryover from the meeting at Chuck's on Saturday....as for your question...sadly, I must say that I really don't know...life is good...time now for my afternoon siesta...
