one of my most anticipated days, as I got our boat out for its maiden voyage of 2012. As expected, the water was perfectly smooth, with a beautiful yellow cover. It was a reminder I get each time I am on the water---why don't I do this more regularly? What a beautiful place....

Did my annual battery charge and "I wonder if the boats will crank this year" routine yesterday.  I was 2 of 3 on cranking, (and three of three as of this morning).  Deck boat ran great, we plowed right through the globs of yellow paint along the way.  It was a great day, and a great ride.

Now some work today:  Clean the boat a bit, put on new gear box for sea doo lift, determine if one battery needs to be replace.  Oh, and another boat ride.

I have to agree it was a fabulous weekend! We did a little yard work, took a boat ride. Little more yard work and another boat ride! It was so nice to be out on the lake.

We are on the lake for the first time in several months... We have a strong fishy/sewer smell coming off the lake around the parker creek area, across from the old Veezy's. Does anyone know what this is or could be? is it the massive amounts of pollen collecting on shoreline or some big fish kill that i missed?? Thanks Ross

People are notorious for having strait pipes into the lake instead of a septic system. you may want to contact the county Health department so they can take a look.

You should call the Tallapossa Health Department since the place has been closed for a year now. It may need an inspection. It is possible there is a sewage problem. Please call for all of us. The fishy smell could also of been caused by the recent auction in the vicinity. There is also a very large Sewage treatement facility for the old Eagle Point developement. Who knows whether it has been inspected in the last year or so. You can blame the trees for the yellow pollen and our early Spring.

Strait Pipes are more common than you think. I know a septic tank installer that rides the lake when the water is down and fills the pipes with concrete. Not so much on the new homes but the older home it was very common. You shouldn't be so ignorant to think that just because someone lives on the lake they always follow the rules. Trashy people can have money too.

lies and misinformation without the backing for fact are way more common on the internet.Just because someone posts something does not mean that it is true. That mr. coosaman is a fact.If as you stated someone is riding the lake filling pipes (absurd)We would all be better served if it was simply reported .This has been a topic of conversation among my circle -dadeville, blue creek area since I first saw your post. Haven't heard any that agree with you. maybe some on this forum will take your side.Sorry but, have to call b.s. when I see it.
