Little chilly on Lake Martin this morning, but a great place to be.

So, it works!  What you think is a goose is a special trap for Mack, in case he decides to raid the mater patch.  Feb and Tarpon usually stand guard, but they are holding out this year.  Not sure if it is because of Obamacare or Sequestration.

Sorry, the trap didn't work. I paddled past the mater patch 3 times last week in my special Goose-Goucho disguise without springing a trap.

That's a trap?  Good thing I didn't shoot it the other day when I came by.  Will be more attentive and make regular patrols in the coming days.  Do like the 'maters we got last year.  Among the best ever!

Maybe soon it will be warm enough for us to join you on the patrol

Maybe I will enlist this Blue Bird to protect the garden.  He certainly was angry at his own reflection.  I was concerned about him and shewed him off after he kept pounding the window.  So, mater-munchers beware, watch out for Blue

My wife is a bird nut and has a big feeder outside our breakfast nook which has a big glass window.  I would say that once or twice a week we have a new outline of a bird that has smacked into the window.  It has really been nice because we have tons of birds and at times the feeder has been covered by bright red cardinals, bright blue bluebirds, bright yellow finches, etc.
