I spoke with my neighbor at the lake this morning. She said that Aliant has the point lot. They are leveling it off, taking the dirt and putting it on the side of the road up 20 to make overflow parking area for the houses out the point. She isn't sure if they are going to just sell the lots or if they will build the houses and sell them.

I have not ventured over to take a closer look, but I can see the machines and the piles of dirt from my porch. Lots of activity. Either this afternoon or tomorrow I may go for a closer view.

I personally wouldn't park on the dirt that they have brought over onto 20. They didn't put any stones or anything to hold it. It is a huge hill down, all it will take is one big rain to wash a bunch of it down.

I rode over on sea doo and talked with the guy who lives next to the island. He said Aliant is doing a few things in hopes of being able to sell the lots. They have water lines (hmmm I wonder if adding those will help my water bill go down?), a new fire hydrant, and a huge culvert over near one of the houses to drain water from the flattened hill
