Anybody on here have any experience with this type cooking? My bride just returned from shopping with a SAM's rotisserie chicken for dinner. Not the first time, for sure, nor the last. Have mercy, those things are good, even to bone it and make chicken salad. I have tried chicken on a Weber, chicken on a smoker, etc, but the results were not as good as that at Sams?? Sad day, but true. My attempts have always been dry, bland and not very good.

Probably cooked it too fast. I rotiss all the time on a gas grill and it turns out just fine. I do it with chickens 1-3 or boneless lamb legs, or turkey breasts or some beef roasts....prime rib is tops. Sounds like you just need to do it more.
