On my way home yesterday, saw the family that owns the horse walking down Old Susanna heading towards Gibson Road (crossing Young's Ferry road). I crossed my fingers they were taking him to greener pastures!

This morning on my way to work noticed the gate to the horse's "home" was open.  The hair on my arms pricked!!  I am happy to say I saw him in the first pasture on the left  past "Sigger's" eating grass with another horse.

He is easy to spot, his coat is in terrible shape.  Wish the family had done the right thing before they lost 1 of the 2.

THAT IS THE BEST NEWS EVER!!!!
I often thought of stopping and asking if I could check his feet for thrush. I am a horse person and it was killing me seeing him out there in all that mud looking so sad. Horses are herd animals and should not be alone. I hate to hear the other one passed away. I wondered what happened to him. Anyone who doesn't think it was cruel and beyond ridiculous to keep a horse under those conditions is a moron.

If anyone suspects animal abuse, turn it into a local vet. They don't play around, nor do the police when they call them in.
Been there, done that and the results were quite satisfying.
