With Labor Day coming upon us quickly is there an enforceable law about

going in or out of an area that has an offical No Wake Bouy placed?

I noticed the ranger in a patrol boat yesterday parked near a no-wake zone near chiminey rock.  He was obviously waiting for someone to blast thru it.

The Marine Police need more boats and officers especially during Memorial Day weekend, July 4th,  and Labor Day. They do the best they can with their resources. To increase the number of patrols requires money. The majority on the Forum want smaller government and less taxes. This sometimes results in situatuions like thoose experienced at the lake with speeders.  Then, you hear well I am willing to pay alittle more if they can hire more officers. That is how we operate....less government until it effects me. Tornado comes through....where is FEMA????Pay me now or pay me later. Pay me later is easier to justify. The situation will not not change. Just learn to live with it or use the lake during the week.

There are only a few days a year where things get a little crazy and even if we doubled the number of patrols I don't think it would make much difference. Many of the things people whine about on here are not even illegal. Yesterday we took a toon ride from little Kowaliga past the 280 bridge and saw less than 10 boats (and I have yet to see a boat pass by this morning). GF, you nailed it for me because I'm for less government and less taxes. We have enough water patrols and I'm perfectly happy with the job they do.  If a tornado hits my house, I don't want goverment intervention....but as you mentioned, there are those that need to re-evaluate their hypocritical attitude.

Even if the MP make a concerted effort to watch an area, nothing ever happens while they are there.

It is amazing how many boats are going in and out of our slough when they aren't around. And when

they are gone, it's like Mad Max. Guess it's like taking a car to a mechanic and asking him to find

out what the problem is with the rattle on the right front. No way in heck you can get the

rattle to happen when you are with the mechanic.

The Marine Police need to go undercover and borrow CAT's big boat to cruise the lake. Actually, use some unmarked boats. Bet that would catch a few.
