Ate at Kowaliga tonight.  Got there by boat a little before 7 because I had to come back to town tonight.  When we arrived there was only one other boat parked in their slips, but it seemed we were just the second of many because by the time we left there were few if any open spots.

Server was pleasant, cocktails prompt, and we both had the catfish filets.  The fish was hot, sides good, and overall food aplenty.  And for a place on the lake $16 per is a fair price.  As with the boats, our arrival found a sparsely occupied place but an hour later when we left it was quite busy.

So mark one in the plus column for Kowaliga.  I know it is part of a big business but tonight it delivered for us and deserves to be recognized.

Our last few visits at Kowaliga have been very good.  Pleasant, prompt service, and the food has been very good.  I wish they didn't have quite so many fried dishes, but I am hooked on the fish tacos.

Thanks for the good report.  Will have to give it another try.  No doubt it is a beautiful location.

We always enjoy Kowaliga for both the food and service.  My wife and I just wish they would put fried crab claws back on the menu.

Last time I was there (in August) the catfish po-boy was well below average. I ordered it because they didn't have the oyster po-boy available. The service was good though, and as y'all have said the view is hard to beat. I wish Kowaliga and The Harbor would both try a little harder for decent value and great food.  Both have been a bit of a let down for us this summer.

Regarding fried food, They will cook anything on the menu any way you want it.  Catfish grilled or blackened.  I even order the Water Dog grilled because the default is boiled.
