it looks all but sure for the "leadership" of the GOP that their chickens are almost home and ready to roost!  It only took 6 years for the party to implode after volunteerly throwing in their lot with the wrong crowd for short term political gain!  The worst part is, the entire nation might now have to suffer!

I'm praying for Kasich!

I thought you might be happy that Hilary did a clean sweep.  Although I like Kasich, I don't see a way forward for him.  Despite his theatrics, you have to admit that Donald Trump message is resounding with a lot of people.  And I think that all this talk about blocking him from getting the nomination is feeding his support, not weakening it.

Most of my liberal friends are supporting Hilary (although no one has been able to tell me why they think that she will be able to put an end to the gridlock between the WH and Congress), and some of my conservative friends, who don't like anyone running) have said that if Hilary wins, it will just be 4 more years of the same.

The future does not look good!

Sadly, you are right.

If Trump continues to surge and becomes the nominee, it's going to get even nastier between Hilary and Donald.  Neither one of them are shrinking violets.

If it gets to a figurative, maybe even literal shouting match, I think it won't hurt and might even help Trump, but take some of the luster, tarnished as it is, off HRC.

Hound, unless lightning strikes and Kasich somehow comes out on top, I will be voting for Hillary. It is a sorry situation that it comes to that.  I agree she will be unable to end the gridlock in Washington, but I am a lot less concerned with what she doesn't get done than what Trump might get done.

I know a lot of other people who feel that way too.  Frankly, at this point, I'll take my chances with Trump.  He'll either be great or a total disaster.

I didn't vote for him in the Alabama Republican primary but will vote for him - holding my nose - if it is him or the crook.

It's because of the latter possibility that I recommend against the gamble.  Remember, the spectrum definning "total disaster" is extremely wide!

I fear that Donald Trump coud become extremely frustrated.  When things move at all in Washington, they move at a glacial pace.  And when people don't bend to his will, he's going to be livid.  It's a sad truth that the President doesn't have as much power as all these guys seem to think.  I'll bet Obama thought the President had more power until he got in the seat.

One of the things that bothers me is how the Right Winger of the GOP seem to be so afraid of Donald Trump or any other outsider. Why is that?  And what does that say about the Republican party.  And I guess that is one of the reasons he is attractive to me.  And I think he has tapped into the underlying anger in this country.
