4 weeks to hatch....ask the mom when she laid them...

Mallard ducks are also a federally protected species under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, so it is illegal to relocate the nest without a permit. ... The female duck builds the nest from nearby vegetation, and once the eggs are laid she will sit on the nest to incubate them for about 30 days.May 10, 2019

This happened to us one year and the Mom scraped up carpet to build the nest.  Once the eggs started to hatch, the ducklings had no way to get off the pontoon.  We hadn't thought about opening the gate so we wound up with some fried eggs, some baked baby ducks, and a big expensive mess.

Live with it until thety hatch and make sure all gates are open so they can leave. And next year, make sure to coverd or put a rubber snake on the deck.  (And when you get on, if there are two or more snakes..)

Gates are open! Hoping for a speedy hatching. Anxious to get out on my boat!

Does it count as relocation if you take them for a ride and return to where you started?  Never done it with ducks, but we take some sort of bird nest (barn swallows?) for a ride every few years.  They love to nest under the old pontoon boat.  Parents don't appear to be upset when we return.
