First, let me quote the brain dead moron lest you think I am kidding.  Today, we received news that our economy had 0% inflation in the month of July — 0%,” Biden said. “Here’s what that means: while the price of some things go up — went up last month, the price of other things went down by the same amount. The result? Zero inflation last month.  

The only problem is that the annualized rate of inflation in July was 8.5%....not zero.  Presumably the halfwit was referring to the fact that inflation didn't get worse in July......it just stayed at the same really bad level of 8.5% in June.  That is the most charitable way to put this.  The middle charitable view is that he thinks Americans are incredibly stupid and will not believe their lying eyes and believe his lying lips.  The least charitable view is he is actually stupid and senile enough to believe that no growth in the rate of inflation in July means 0% inflation.  I am going with the latter explanation.  He is mentally unfit to be President and is surrounded by a team that is intellectually unfit to advise a President on anything.

Political theatre in Mar-a-logo, designed to make people think he MUST be guilty of something.  They turned over boxes earier this year without the theatre. 

The fact that that Trump pleaded the "5th" in N.Y. - he's just playing their game in the way that is legal.

I have to assume someone told them there are more classified papers that Trump and his lawyers did not previously turn over. I can't believe that any of his attorneys would admit that they were aware of hidden classified papers and would lead the agents to the papers.  Can't imagine the agents have the authority to review each document and determine if it is classified. The solution was to take everything. Trump screwed himself when he left  the White House with classified documents.

if he is as smart as he claims, he would hide stuff in a storage unit under someone else's name. Guess we will find how smart he really is.

Seems like to the Right nothing that happens to Trump is Trump's fault. The fact is, very sadly, that Trump is a crook.

You must be from a different universe.

First, your "I would have to assume" statement is absurd on its face.  If you don't know it or cite someone who does, then others can as easily assume nobody told them...and be just as right as you.  Next, nobody claimed the lawyers were capable of determining classification.  Their role (in my opinion) would be to validate that whatever the FBI took indeed came from that location...or more importantly argue in court that a particular document did or did NOT come from Mar-a-Ligo..

Next, if I am not mistaken the President is the ultimate classifying authority and can declassify any document he wishes, leading to a discussion as to whether the documents were indeed classified or he declassified them and took them with him to the Florida compound.

Next, if he were to take your suggestion and hide them in a storage unit he could be said to admit he had something to hide....but if he had nothing to hide there would be no need.  

Seems to the left that anything Trump does is illegal.  Problem is that, unfortunately, the facts to this point have proven otherwise. Seems to me you are so blinded by ideology you can't see the forest because of those pesky tall green things with brown trunks.

How many times has a company settled a lawsuit in favor of the complainant where the company was not guilty of what was being claimed, just to avoid the expense and publicity associated with taking the suit to trial?

How does a FORMER federal prosecutor KNOW what FBI agents took?  How about they THINK they know what they took.

"FBI agents were legally required"...FBI has shown in recent year that they don't give a danm what is legal.  That aside, DID THEY provide what was legally required?  Reports I've seen say they loaded up box fter box of documents without even looking at them, much less catalogueing what they took.

DID the search warrant say what crimes Trump was accused of committing?  Have you SEEN the search warrant?  How do you KNOW?

Since when does the National Librarian get to accuse former Presidents of a crime, even though according to your post he simpla]y asked the Justice Department to "look into the transfer"?

And your last paragraph is hearsay and doesn't prove Jack Schitt.

I was just about to point out what you so aptly identified.  Trump is the ultimate classification authority and if he determines papers aren't classified, it doesn't matter if they are still stamped with a classification.  There is also a date on which they become unclassified, as specified by the classifier. I would point out that his daily scedules and trip schedules are "classfied" and then unclassiried once the day is over or the trip is done.  And that is the reason this is just political theatre.

If there are valid, classified documents, and they are kept in the safe, then there isn't a problem. Likley, when he was President, they certified his safe as a "secure container".  Has it occured to anyone that he likely still has, at a minimum, his Top Secret clearance?  You could try to argue that does he have a "need know"- but if they are papers that relate to things that happened when he was President, I don't think it would stick. 

The FBI was likely sent in with aurthority to check his safe and remove boxes.  It would be very difficult to make an on the spot determination if a paper was classified or not, if it was not stamped. it's not against the law to rip up a classified document (since most of them are copies) or carry it in your poscket. And I'm not buying the flush.  it would be pretty hard to flush papers and require a plumber on standbye.

Funny - so what you are saying is that when they came down a few months ago and went through the boxes(and Trump said to give them what they wanted and the lawyers were present and helped them go through the boxes, then requested he add an additional lock to the storage room - which he did - that they overlooked what they went to look for to start with.

Only a idiot would believe that.

But then again it would make sense that they went through the boxes, had no idea what the hell they were looking for to start with and left behind all the important stuff - but damn they sure wanted that menu from a birthday party.

Let me know when they get worried about all of Bidens records locked away till he is no longer in public office or all the ones that Obama sent to his Library to never been seen again.  Neither of their records have ever seen the light of day.

Pelosi tore up on national TV documents - she should be arrested and jailed.

It is claimed Trump put documents in a crapper and did not flush the evidence?  The paper went completly to the bottom and the ink was still readable after who knows how long stuck to the bottom of the crapper?  I do not tear up paper and put in the crapper, but most of the time paper floats and any ink that gets wet quickly becomes a mess.  So he went to the crapper, tore it up, attempted to flush it and the words on it are still visable without any issues after some period of time when someone came in to photograph it.

No wonder there is such a concern about document handling - apparently Washington uses special ink and paper that makes it almost indesctuctable. Or possibly there is something in the water in DC that does not cause degrading documents/ink that could also explain the idiocracy of Washington DC - the water supply is making them almost as insane as GFY.
