That's what l just paid to fill up in Newnan GA.  Now l know the president had almost nothing to do with the fact that is $1.15 less than l would have paid at the same station 2 months ago, I'm still going to say thank you Mr President because you can bet the farm almost every other person posting on this forum would be giving Joe Biden 100% of the blame for having to pay $4.59.9 back in mid June!

Let me know when its back down to 1.89 and I will be happier.

Applauding 3.44 is not wise.

EDIT:  It was the gas and sugar prices that did Mr. Peanut in.  So much of economy runs off energy prices.

Funny that he says Biden is not to blame for the higher prices, but then goes on to thank him for the reduction from the high point earlier this year that Biden caused and then thanks him for the now only around double what it was 2 years ago.

March 8th USA Today

As of Tuesday morning, the average national price for a gallon of regular gasoline touched $4.17, according to AAA, the highest price ever, not accounting for inflation. That was up from $4.07 on Monday and $3.61 a week earlier.

The previous high was $4.11 on July 17, 2008, according to AAA. That would come to around $5.25 today when adjusted for inflation.

The cost for diesel is nearing the record of $4.84, also set in July 2008. The price for a gallon of diesel is $4.75, more than double what it was in October 2020.

But I do have to agree that we should give Biden a hand - for the spike in gas prices, I guess now we can call it the Putin Price Decrease ( since he was blamed for the entire increase to start with right?) inflation across the board at record highs, record illegal migration, Housing costs through the roof, construction materials skyrocketing - YEAH TEAM BIDEN FOR WRECKING THE ECONOMY!!!!!

Biden promised to end Covid and cancer, and now the CDC is stealth editing their websites to remove information that we all had a  good idea was false over a year ago, but was used to force mask mandates and remove people who did not agree with the politics that was used to play with our health.

I do hope that our governemt gets returned to some level of sense after the midterms ( and not the insanity that Antifatech and GFY crow and applaude )

Now can we all just sit back and imagine if Trump was presiding over the current events - can we imagine how different Antifatechs glowing words of praise for team Biden would be different??!?  I feel that he would have be crapposting daily about how DJT is literally Hitler instead of offering his praise for the Biden "job well done" - and to explain the well done part - in this context it is more like a steak, burnt to hell and unable to swallow the BS.

That can not be it - we were told it was all Putin's gas hike and now must be his price gift to the world.

Now over in reality your answer might make sense, but we know Puddin head and his cheerleaders dont live there.

Why can’t you praise the Republican Georgia gubment.  They suspended the state tax which was close to $.30/gal.  Idiot the price of gas went down because lots of people, especially in GA can’t afford to eat and drive.  It’s totally DA Biden’s fault for high prices, and no credit is due for reduction….people couldn’t afford to buy gas.  Are you really as dumb as your posts make you?  I think so.

BTW, YOU GOT RIPPED OFF ON YO GAS BUY….I PAID $3.23/GAL TODAY @ SAM’S IN ALABAMA AND WE PAY STATE TAX.  GUESS THEY SAW A REAL DA DIMOKRAP COME UP AND JACKED YO $$$.

Ofter you will jump on gas priced a little lower. However, if you check your car manual you will probably see under recommended fuel the term TOPTIER. Gas that is delivered to the station can be from any refiner. What customizes it are additives which are added by the station and are then considered to be TOPTIER.  Name brands such as Shell, Chevron, Citgo, Exxon, Texaco, and Mobie are all considered TOPTIER. According the list,  gas sold by COSTCO  is  and Sam's CLUB is not TOTIER.

Check your manual.

Do your homework.  Saving Advice.com did a comparison of Costco gas to other major brands and found that it meets TOPTIER standards and other benchmarks that prove it to be just as good as the big names...and BTW was $3.31.9 at the Montgomery location this afternoon.

And unlike you and Archie I named my source so you can go check it out yourself without accepting my "opinion".

READ what I posted..."According to the list, gas sold by COSTCO is and Sam's CLUB is not TOPTIER."

Here is the source.... toptiergas.com.

WAWA, Speedway, and  7-11 are examples of large sellers not listed as TOPTIER.

If my memeory is correct Barack Obama was in the Oval office.  The average price per gallon nationwide was $2.14 per gallon on average for the year 2016...the lowest annual national average in the 21st century.  Why can't you praise President Obama when things go well on his watch?  I have frequented this forum since 2008 and have never ever seen even the most microscopic complement from your far right azz for anybody to the left of Benito Mussolini in those 12 years.

I do appreciate and comend the governor's suspension of the gas tax because, unlike most on this forum, I am willing to acknowledge good policy even when it comes from the side I usually disagree with.  Neverthe less, the suspension was also in place in June when the price was closer to $4.60 and yesterday at one station in Newnan GA it was $3.449 per gallon.  To be sure most stations were a few cents more but all I noticed were below $3.50.

I’ve been driving for many decades and have yet to see a station person pour an additive into a ground tank or truck.  Many years ago, the big names in gas companies stopped delivering with logo tankers, when people realized the logo meant nothing, just like the additive BS.  My father-in-law owned a Standard Oil station for 50 years and never added anything.  Not saying additives weren’t made, but it’s more about justifying higher priced gas than improved gas.  Personally, my career made me drive 40,000 to 50,000 miles per year for nearly 40 years, and I ALWAYS bought gas from the cheapest guy in town….because if the cheapest guy went out of business we were all screwed….still do the same thing.  I have never had a problem with an auto that was gas oriented!  Boats…..yes, because of dimokrap alcohol added to good gas.

The ethenol doesnt run in boats is absolute malarky, at least according the owners manual of the 2021 Yamaha 115 v-tech.  The first thing I did after the repower was check the manual for fuel recomendations.  The manual states very clearly that the engine is deigned, engineered, built and tuned to run 86 octane (one lower than the cheapest regular gas) with up to 10% ETHENOL  I am going to beleive the folks that buillt it and, more importantly, guarentee and warranty the engine over anybody else.

The ethenol myth started because old fuel lines had a liner that would seperate from the outer hose that did degrade in ethenol then those lines would many times suck closed inside the line and starve the engine for fuel.  Some took advantage and used the situation to take advantage of folks and blame it on ethenol fuel, which is technically true but easily corrected with new fuel lines.

Comparing car engines when you were working and the car engines used today really makes no sense. You can  use  the cheapest gas  that is not top tier. I will use top tier.

Lifer, the ethanol gas does run fine in marine engines……if the gas in the tank is kept fresh and not allowed to sit for months.  Ethanol spiked gas left in a boat tank for a long period of time will attract moisture, which adds water to gas….which ain’t good.  Two issues: you mentioned one:  old motors, and I mentioned the other.

May be true with Dumb Biden’s all electric cars!!!  I still drive and put over 100K on cars before I trade….no problem.  Ya see, I don’t have your ego problem of being seen at a Walmart filling station.

BTW, today’s cars are much more tolerant of bad gas than old cars.  Any engine that will run on pure gas, 10% Ethanol, 20% Ethanol, or 100% Ethanol is certainly much more tolerant of trash gas.  Get a life GOOF-IDIOT.

Last car I purchased new (1992) went through two engines and has 475,000 miles on the body - current engine was used so can not say how many miles total on it - 1st engine crapped out around 400K.

The station/fuel I used probably 95% of the time in that one was not on the list of super duper fuels.  Have only had one car in my life not make over 100K without engine problems - and the cracked head on that one I do not think had anything to do with the fuel.

Newer vehicles are made for 10% or more ethanol, same as diesels that now are made for lower sulfer - run the new diesel in old stuff like farm equipment or older car/truck engines and expect to have problems with leaks - the seals are not made for it.  Same could be said for older cars that used lead fuel additives - newer cars are made to run without it, older ones it would eat the valve seats up.

Only thing we ever had that really cared about fuel was a V6 92 chevy truck that would only run right on Chevron premium - anything else or lower octane and it would diesel on shutoff and the cheaper stuff you could watch the needle drop when driving.

I try not to put ethanol in lawn equipment or boats just because they may sit for periods of time between uses.

475K is a lot of mileage for engine or body.  I typically don’t buy new….like off lease cars and trucks…had good luck with them.  Last new was 2005 Chev truck…put 225K on it, sold it locally and still see it around town…no engine problems, at all. As usual, transmission died at 72,000, replaced with rebuilt and no problems since.  Cars and trucks are ok with ethanol, boat gas tanks are the problem…ethanol makes water!!

Wonder why he did not discuss the cost of the other Obama years and chose 2016.....

The 21st century is the present century of the Gregorian calendar. It began on January 1, 2001 and will last to December 31, 2100

1993-2001 Bill Clinton
2001-2009 George W. Bush
2009-2017 Barack Obama
2017-2021 Donald J. Trump
2021- Joseph R. Biden

Graph goes back to 1994 proves Antifatch is a liar as well as that Obama presided over the 3 years of of really high costs, only eclipsed by Bush and NOW BIDEN had the highest fuel costs in the 21st century.

Bush gas prices sucked bad expecially 08, Obamas are almost as bad and all are eclipsed by the ultimate in costs- Joe Blamer the 2nd.

I am not claiming the dotted lines I added are 100% accurate to the day but a pretty good representation.

It’s the amount of water, not the fact,  a drop or two is a hellof lot less than a quart!  Diesel is the worst at attracting water in the tank.  All marine motors should have water removing filters before fuel gets to engine.

What is this string of posts discussing?  Answer...Gas Prices!

What year in the 21st century (that is beginning Jan 1 2001) to date had the lowest nationwide average price for gas?  Answer...2016! Just look at your on damn graph idiot.

Who was president in 2016?  Answer Barack Obama (not Oblamer)!

You really need to learn to read more carefully before popping off.

Now if you want to see some interesting graphs look at the one comparing new jobs gained during the Clinton, Obama and Biden years and compare them to the Bush, Bush and Trump years.  Even Jimmy Carter, on a annual basis, presided over more new jobs than any president since WW ll.  The GOP's best, Ronald Reagan, did not do as well as Carter, Clinton or Biden (so far). For an even more interesting chart take a look at the comparison of all economic indicators (jobs, GDP, equities, etc) since the end of WW ll where you will find the indicies growth was approximately double during every Democratic administration compared to every Republicans. Go ahead, do it dammit.

Mine may be dim, but its not blown like yours.

And he will always be Oblamer - 8 years of Bush caused it.

Jimmy Carter is proud these days, because now Biden took his award as the worst president in history.

Holy crap - you got me, I dont understand why I posted an image of retail gas prices that shows historical trends back to 2001 and labeled them accordingly by presidential term to show highs and lows and that 2016 was not the lowest price for gas prices in the 21st century.

Silly me, I thought that showing you were full of chit with a graph from a government website made perfect sense in your long list of never ending lies regarding how wonderful demonrats are, and that republicans are just Hilter.

Again I ponder why did you choose 2016 and not the rest of his entire 8 year term to discuss the costs of gas, why not 2012-2014 which sucked almost as bad as the spike under Bush and are dwarfed by even the now slightly lower high prices by Potato Joe - not even discussing the spike itself.

Even this CNBC data shows your full of chit, Even looking at it with or without the inflation adjustment 2016 was not the best in the 21st century.

  • 2001: $1.53 ($2.51 inflation-adjusted)
  • 2002: $1.44 ($2.34 inflation-adjusted)

Answer is very simple:  Gas prices were low in 2016, because the drillers, processors, haulers, and retailers were trying to help Trump get elected by creating a positive feeling in voters…..it worked.  Same thing occurred in 2020 by the gas industry doing the same thing, only problem……they didn’t anticipate the dimokrap theft of the election!!   Now arch-IDIOT will come back and blame the industry for Hiden biden’s total failure in office.  Facts is facts, IDIOT!

Have you ever heard the expression ''you are comparing apples and oranges''?  Thats what you are doing,  You are talking about daily or weekly prices.  The LOWEST ANNUAL PER GALLON COST FOR GAS WAS $2.14 for the year 2016. No other year in the 21st century had a annual price that low when adjusted for inflation.  Now I gladly admit you are very good with those graphs so put that talent to work show us your graphs and charts for the years 1945 - 2021 showing:

Number of new jobs

Unemployment rate

Change in the stock averages

Increase in per capita income

Retail sales

Annual change in the GDP

I'm a digital Neanderthal and do not posses the skills to do it but obviously you do.  You wanted us to consider other economic factors so show us some of those other factors.  Now the question is...do you have the guts to do it and put it on the forum for all of us to see?

Interesting that the same site had a ANNUAL function as well - so take your apples and oranges and shove them - you want to produce something to back up your claim do it.  Put up or shut up as you love to say.  You want to prove all the crap you post - give us a link, share a picture anything.  You never do, wonder why, well most of us know why.

Now below image, same website shows annual fuel costs - what is that stuff below the horizontal red line that the green line is point to.  Two vertical lines - red should be close to 2001 purple 2016 ( your Oblamer lowest annual cost in 21st century.  )

Put up or shut up - you love to say it - we personally enjoyed it when you took the shut up option for such a short time.

Remember that the 21st started in 2001 - you typed it and verified that the information I provided was correct in posts above sooooo-

https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=29452#:~:text=U.S.%20regular%20retail%20gasoline%20prices,annual%20average%20price%20since%202004.

"U.S. regular retail gasoline prices averaged $2.14 per gallon (gal) in 2016, 29 cents/gal (12%) less than in 2015 and the lowest annual average price since 2004. "

Quick little google about your claim and found the above, it is amazing how you could recall such a fine detail of 2.14 per gallon in 2016 and tell us which president it was from and had committed that little nugget to memory, but you got the facts wrong yet again. Now had you said since 2004(ignoring the lost costs during the first several years of the Bush administration, you might have a leg to stand on - but you decided to change it to the 21st century and sorry but that is a lie, yet again or at best manipulation of your dataset which is where liars do their best work.  And you continue to claim apples and oranges when you know your facts are manipulated, do not even offer up where you got your wisdom - just that anyone but you has to be wrong, Lord knows the great Antifatech could never be wrong about anything ( well at least in your own mind ).

Now just because you are tech ignorant/illiterate, is no excuse not to be able to at least post a link(Even GFY can somehow manage to do it sometimes - maybe you can ask him for help!) - you seem to have no problem spouting facts and figures - so just post where you get them from, would make it a lot easier to decide to believe your "facts" or if you have just slightly changed them or edited what was written to fit whatever lying leftwing BS narrative you are chitposting yet again.    You have been proven to be a liar(and now with oranges and oranges - you want an orange smoothie??) - its up to you to backup your facts if you want people to believe what you say.

Kind of like when you posted about the 2nd amendment and left off everything after free state, you know the important part about the right of the people, not the right of the militia.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed

I will repeat one last time before I hit post message - "put up or shut up" -  Antifactech.

Sadly all the requst for cliff notes did for me is confirm that GFY is as lazy as Antifatech or wanted to try and get the posters topic changed to something else since his buddy just received a pretty complete explanition as to why he was a liar.

Its funny how he wanted me to go cliff note and remove insults 99% of it was just the same words that Antifatech used, data and facts.

Seems he didnt have a problem with the dim bulb or other insults by Antifatech, so calling him a blown bulb is a bridge too far?  or was it my agreeing with Antifatech that he is hiding behind his self proclaimed tech ignorance/illiterate and that I even offered for him to get classes from GFY himself.

Not sure where the insults were, just several sources of data to put a nail in the "apple and oranges" BS.  I did find it funny that the exact trimed quote Antifatech used is actually from the EIS which is where the weekly/monthly/annual graph was actually produced to start with and when you go to the annual graph it actually shows the 2016 low point post 2004 - the data points he tried to use incorrectly, the weekly graph that I posted 1st actually showed a close call under Trump that almost could have derailed his enitre claim on the data in 2020 - one of the reasons I chose the montly was that it gave a better representation and actually raised that line up enough that visually the 2020 data point on the graph which did come close was not in question at all. The claim of $2.14 a gallon was written in Jan 2016 prior to Trump and Potato Joe who now holds the record the the highest ever fuel price since the begining of recorded history ( not just 21st century)

I did repeat the quote from Antifatech "put up or shut up" several times  - so maybe it was just my overuse of Antifatech's phrase that offended him to the point of jumping in.  Personally I think he felt that Antifatech had just received a beating like a Mike Tyson opponent and knowing how GFY prefers abuse, he decided that he needed some of that to get his abuse kink quota for the day.

Thanks for the executive explanation. I ask you again...what's your point? Do you still sail?
