We went to the lake Sunday and came back yesterday afternoon, didn't see the first boat on the water. Of course it was freezing outside and the wind was horrible. I thought I'd see a fisherman or two but didn't see any.

Weekends like this past one makes me wish I could spend more time at the lake.

More time like "all the time". Folks at work in montgomery ask me "How can you stand to drive all that way from the lake?" I tell them "don't worry about it, I will take care of it" I do wish we were on daylight savings all the time. More important to me to have daylight in the afternoon than morning. Still, looking out over the smooth lake with that first cup of coffee puts the mind, body and soul in right order. Of course, it makes mind, body and soul want to stay home, but hey, gotta pay for the place somehow. All is worth it. What a wonderful place to be, and come home to. I share your sentiments wholly, and yes that wind was breezy this past weekend.

Fortunately I'm a sahm and my dd and I can go anytime we want to. My dh drives in to Montgomery and never complains about the drive because it is so relaxing when he gets home.

I think next year that daylight savings time is supposed to be extended.

I should have known that - it's the career my daughter wants! Thanks...

It isn't always the easiest career, trust me! ;-) Days like today sometimes make me wish I was back in an office but I have to stop and remind myself that she is only 2 and it will get better and I'm fortunate to be able to be here with her.

Good luck to your daughter!
