Gotta' replace my seawall this winter. Existing creosote crossties are going away. Maximum height is about 4 feet.
Has anyone on the Forum ever had any experience with or heard of a source for a "Railroad Tie" type product made from recycled auto tires formed into the shape of a crosstie??
I have "Googled" recycled tires without a result.
Gotta' be somebody here who knows something?? Help
Thanks,,,

This site might help you find the product you are looking for. I would check with Alabama Power to see if this type of product would be allowed before I waisted any time in researching it.

I think Russell sells them. You probably are already aware of that and need someone with experience using them.

Thanks for the references,, I'll look. I have not seen these things, but, it really seems like a great idea, if, if if, they don't leach some ugly stuff into the water, and if you can find 5 or 6 strong people to move one.

I don't think they are nearly as heavy as the real thing.
