Any suggestions on how to get rid of carpenter bees. I have cedar trim on my house and the bees LOVE it. Also they have begun the invasion of my cedar stained porch ceiling. My porch is covered with sawdust, they are now working on a strip about 3" wide and 6" long. Help.

If they are within reach a tennis racquet works best.

badminton racquet(or tennis racquet) in one hand and wasp and
hornet spray in the other. I have killed them by the hundreds.
If you hit them with wasp and hornet spray they will die but
not immediately. You will find them other places dead.
Good luck

I gave a few a whack yesterday with my grandson's "fat" bat. It was fun til I swung my shoulder out, and I was greatly outnumbered

Be careful. Two years ago I lost about 20 yards on my drives from a bee/tennis racket strain.

You have to treat the galley nest in the hole. ON the internet, I bought a $35 duster bulb and $18 dust to spray in the galley where the young ones will emerge in 6 weeks. Also a 1/2" cork will seal the treated hole. Spraying the flying ones helps also.
