North Fork River

Length: 100 miles (161 kilometers)
Rises in Douglas County in the Ozarks of South Missouri. The river flows south into North Arkansas to the White River near its mouth is Norfork Dam (completed 1944), which impounds Norfork Lake and has a power plant. Popular canoeing, floating, and fishing stream above lake. Many springs feed it. Commonly called Norfork River, The North Fork of the White River.
