Love the game, been playing a long, long time. Have had a second home on the lake for over 15 years (not a Russell property). I, not braggadociously, have the disposable income to afford membership at a number of private clubs that have crossed my path in Georgia and Alabama over the years. Quite frankly, I enjoy the simple pleasure of varied, well kept courses, that consistently challenge my game and keep my mind fresh while strategizing a new course in real time. Golf at Reynolds Plantation comes to mind......What is Mr. Russell afraid of with regard to whom to open his courses too? I have a feeling that I know the answer to that question. Certainly the prerogative of the Russell Company, but so is how many choose to spend disposable recreation dollars.
I have played only two of the Coore and Crenshaw creations, Kapalua (Plantation) and Talking Stick. Both were spectacular in their own right and I am sure this newest design will not disappoint.
