I am very happy they tore up the very bad section of old asphalt. It is 100X better than it use to be but from what I am hearing they are not going to fully pave with asphalt. I do think they will be repairing potholes every year without the asphalt paving. Plus, all of the gravel is tearing up boats being towed in on a trailer. If we could get a group of lake homeowners in Coosa county (and probably Elmore as the road extends into Elmore) to cover the cost to fully repave I think it would really help everyone. I would be in to pay a couple thousand. I'm not sure how that would work because the County usually pays for these projects out of gas taxes and we all know there are not many gas stations in Coosa.
