One of our company's senior leaders apparently had a dream to reconfigure a very successful operation of the company that turned into an unmitigated disaster.  When things got so bad that I decided to leave he asked me to lunch to find out why.  I told him that his dream turned into our nightmare. 

There were tons of people who could dream of nothing more than to get rid of Trump.  They were so desperate to do so that they voted for a doddering, old, senile fool knowing full well his long, abysmal record in government, one of incompetence, being wrong on every single major foreign policy issue, coddling up to racists like KKK Byrd, the corruption of his son and his role in pay for play, his coziness with China and Russia, his shameless lying about the death of his wife and child, etc., etc.  They knew all that and yet they still voted for the guy because Orange Man Bad and mean tweets are bad.  They are to blame, not the 30% of Americans that would vote for Stalin or Mao if they had a D by their name.  It's the ones that ought to know better.  It's their dream that turned into our nightmare.
