Goofy prefers a tortured, non-sensical politically biased explanation over the simple truth.  In his defense, he still believes that Trump colluded with Russia, there was no fraud in the 2020 election, men can menstruate and have babies and pigs can fly (he saw it on Dumbo so it must be real).  Truly he falls into the category of those that believe so much that just isn't so.
