This has nothing to do with Trump so save the TDS for another subject.  My whole point, apparently lost on you and Wix, is that the messaging about the vaccine is a big part of the problem.  If the vaccine works then once you have it and developed the antibodies why would you need a mask or social distancing, etc.?  You are protected, right?  But no, the idiots in the govt tell us we still have to wear a mask which undermines the credibility of the vaccine's efficacy.  People are not stupid. They can see the contradiction. 

So if you are at all hesitant to take a vaccine using a novel approach that has never been tried in all of human history (and you should be) and the govt tells you that it doesn't work you just might not want to take on the uncertainty or risk of an adverse reaction.  It's simple risk management related to the concept of voluntary versus involuntary risk. 

So to make my point once again, if they would tell the American people that once you have the vaccine and developed the antibodies you can forgo the mask and social distancing it might actually convince some of the hesitant ones to go get it.  I assume you think that's a good idea, right?
