I am in the process of replacing the floor in a 18' Bayliner Cobra boat for a customer and I was trying to determine whether to replace the transom. Does anyone know if Bayliner used treated plywood in the transom in around 1989. The reason I am asking is because the wood in the transom is wet but doesn't appear to be rotten.
If they did use treated plywood it is the first I have ever seen in small boats by a manufacturer.
