Why anyone would build/buy a house on a lake and then complain about boats is beyond me. Your toys, YOUR responsibillity. Everyone wants to be on 'big water' but not have the effects of wind and wakes. Stop whining and b!tching and tie your toys up properly.

And don't even start with the driver being responsible for their wake. I know that is the law. Have you EVER seen it enforced? Have you ever pursued it civil court? The answer is no to both I am certain. Waves are inherent to water so unless a violation occurs causing major damage you never will see them ticketed. Everybody wants a no wake bouy, that is why nobody gets one.

Whether they pass at 10ft, 100ft, or 1000ft makes no difference in the size and force of the wake. I would bet that the same ones that are here complaining are guilty of doing the same thing elsewhere. If there is enough room in front of your place for wave runners, skiers and tubers to be doing donuts, then there certainly no way you will get a no wake bouy.

As for swimmers bouys and roped off areas..... well lets jsut say that if you put them out and I run over them, YOU will pay. It is NOT your lake. You can NOT declare part of it off limtis to anyone, most expecially with hazards like ropes in the water. Ever seen what a rope does to a prop?
