I lived in Ohio for 6 years and my wife grew up in Cincy. The problem with Ohio is high taxes and state government regulation stifles business. They look to get out of the state and not into the state. What they could do that would have an immediate positive impact on business is to lower taxes. Other than a change to a business friendly environment (and not by doling out the people's money to favored businesses because that rarely works out well) there is no compelling reason to want to have your business in Ohio.

As for the other problem, I work closely with a Catholic lay organization that is all over the world and there is a strong pattern of discrimination, harassment, intimidation and outright hostility in Muslim countries toward Christians. You have to ask the question, why would Christians leave the country of their birth? The answer is simple, Islam is not a religion of peace and tolerance.
